[Chubb Life] Senior Manager, Valuation Actuary

Position Objective: The Senior Manager, Valuation Actuary will accountable for leading and supervising the valuation and financial reporting of the company's insurance liabilities. This includes assessing the financial risk associated with insurance policies, evaluating the company's financial position, and providing strategic financial planning advice. Additionally, it also involves managing a team of actuaries, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the company's actuarial systems and models.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Review valuation reporting

All reports related to Statutory valuation reports (MOF, AVI) All reports related to US GAAP valuation reports Financial projections (Forecast, 5 Year Plan, Budgeting) Reinsurance Reporting Experience Studies and Statistics Prophet modeling in cooperation with regional Other actuarial tasks (Audit, Embedded Value, Profitability, Value of New Business, Liability duration, Actuarial Model change management, projects related to Valuation function such as financial projection in deals)

Management, Support and fully responsibility for Valuation team

Manage smoothly routine activities of Valuation Function Support technical matters to team members in both routine jobs and actuarial knowledge Fully responsibility on outputs/reports of Valuation Function Exchange with higher management levels about human resource problems and important issues to strengthen Valuation Function

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.  Full qualification from the Society of Actuaries or equivalent professional actuarial organization. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the actuarial field with an emphasis on valuation, including at least 5 years of managerial experience. Proficient in actuarial modeling software and other related tools. Deep understanding and knowledge of regulatory and rating agency reporting requirements for life insurance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data. Demonstrated expertise in applying actuarial techniques to solve business problems. Experience with IFRS 17, US GAAP, or other relevant financial reporting standards would be advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to discuss complex topics with a variety of audiences. Experience in project management and ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and regulators. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information properly. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in managing a team. Continual learning and development mindset and the drive to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
