Position: Head of Marketing Oncology

Location: Tokyo

Report to: Head of Oncology (in Japan)

Direct report: 5 direct reports (Team: 16)

 

Responsibilities:

The Head of Marketing Oncology plays a critical role in the strategic planning and execution of marketing initiatives for our company's oncology products. As a company experiencing growth in the oncology pharmaceutical market, we have been consistently launching new products and indications in recent years. Our business will continue to expand through the introduction of new products while maintaining our existing product portfolio in the coming years. We are committed to implementing a new go-to-market model and launching new products, including in-licensed products, in our areas of strength. This role is vital for driving our success in the oncology market and fueling our growth trajectory.

Major responsibilities include:

Develop and execute annual brand Plan for existing products.Create launch plans and ensure successful product launches.Forecast and track KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis.Manage operating expenses effectively.Drive digital transformation and establish new operating model.Develop effective promotion plans based on data analytics.Market shaping by engaging with physicians, HCPs, Patients, industry stakeholders, and government.Conduct lifecycle management (LCM) activities and collaborate on business case development, while maintaining communication with the global/regional commercial team.Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.Cultivate strong relationships with KOLs and influential medical societies.Nurture and develop individuals through coaching, training, and growth opportunities.Travel domestically as required, with occasional international travel.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree. MBA is nice to have, but not required.Minimum of 8 years industry experience, with at least 5 years in product management roles in pharmaceutical company in Japan.Marketing experience in oncology and/or immuno-oncology area is preferred. Proven experience in successfully launching new products (pre/post-launch).Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Ability to manage complex projects.Demonstrates high ethical standards and personal integrity.Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.Experience working in a multicultural business environment.Familiarity with the JPMA Code of Practice, internal promotional approval processes (CMLR), and other relevant standards in the pharmaceutical industry.Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making abilities.Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Japanese and English.
