This position also involves managing a high-performing sales team, actively collaborating with external partners—including distributors and channel partners—and working closely with internal teams—such as marketing, education, and channel management—to ensure sustained growth and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
l Business Leadership Team Contribution:
Act as a core member of the business leadership team, contributing to the overall strategic direction and long-term planning of the organization.
Provide insights and recommendations on market trends, customer demands, and competitive landscapes.
Collaborate with senior leadership across departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies with company objectives and financial goals.
Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
l Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy in collaboration with the implant sales team to achieve revenue and profitability goals for the digital solution products.
Identify growth opportunities by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
Align sales objectives with the company’s overall business strategy through collaboration with the executive team.
l Collaboration with External Partners:
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, channel partners, and other external stakeholders to expand market access and optimize sales performance.
Negotiate and manage contracts, agreements, and incentives with external partners to align with business objectives.
Provide training, resources, and ongoing support to distributor networks to ensure product knowledge and alignment with sales goals.
l Team Leadership & Development:
Lead, inspire, and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team targets.
Define performance metrics, set clear expectations, and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and support career growth.
Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent.
l Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
Cultivate strong relationships with key customers and serve as a trusted advisor by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote products and services.
l Operational Management:
Oversee sales operations, including forecasting, sales funnel management, and CRM utilization, to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align go-to-market strategies and deliver customer-focused solutions.
Monitor the development of proposals, RFP* responses, and pricing strategies to maximize competitiveness. *RFP: Request for Proposal
l Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure that all sales activities comply with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
Prepare and deliver regular performance reports, market insights, and strategic recommendations to the executive team.
**Qualifications**
Key Requirements
l Experience in medical device sales, with at leat 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in othorpaedics.
l Proven success in contributing to organizational strategy as part of a business leadership team.
l Demonstrated ability to manage external partners, such as distributors or channel networks, to drive revenue growth.
l Stronge leadership and team management skills, with a track record fo building and leading high-performing sales teams.
l Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
l High learning agility, with a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new challenges, technologies, and market conditions.
l Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
l Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.
l Knowledge of the medical robotics market and relevant regulatory environments is highly desirable.
Japanese Native Level and English proficiency preferred, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
