Bosch first started in Vietnam with a representative office in 1994. Bosch has its main office in Ho Chi Minh City, with branch offices in Hanoi and Da Nang, and a Powertrain Solutions plant in the Dong Nai province to manufacture push belt for continuously variable transmissions (CVT) in automobiles. In addition, Bosch operates a software and engineering solutions from product engineering, tool development & automation as well as testing & validation solutions (Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam).
In July 2014, Bosch set up a new Automotive R&D Center, located in Ho Chi Minh City. The continuous growth of this Centre is in line with Bosch’s strategy in Vietnam, which aims at becoming a manufacturing and R&D hub in the Southeast Asian region. Currently four products are available: connectors, push belt, fuel supply, and diagnosis module (tank leakage).

Job Description• Develop design solutions within defined concept taking into account material, manufacturing and economic aspects. Optimize designs based on customer's feedback.
• Create and monitor design schedule. Perform design calculations using calculation or FEM simulation method. Examine costs, document designs (bills of materials, technical specifications, design guidelines)
• Develop innovative concepts and ensure feasibility
• Work in a project team, communicate to the stakeholders to explain the design and explore the requirements
• Strong Mechanical Design Background: Good background in mechanical design, with proficiency in fundamental engineering calculations and design principles.
• CAD Design Software Proficiency: Skillful use of CAD design software, with experience in NX, Creo, and SAP being an advantage.
• Product Engineering Methods: Knowledge of product engineering methods, including FMEA, DFMA, DRBFM, and DOE (Design Of Experiments).
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing, with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• FEM Simulation: Ability to use FEM simulation for design verification, with willingness to develop competence in this field.
• Responsiveness and Ownership: Responsive, agile, and proactive, with a strong ownership mindset, willingness to take over responsibility, and a solution-driven approach.
• Manufacturing Familiarity: Familiarity with common manufacturing methods.
• Continuous Learning: Willingness to learn and apply new technologies, with the ability to work independently.
