The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing high-quality visuals, compelling social media content, and on-brand marketing collateral that consistently reflects Waldorf Astoria’s exceptional heritage. The ideal candidate will bring creative flair, cultural sensitivity (particularly for the Japanese market), and a keen understanding of upscale hospitality marketing strategies.

What will I be doing? 

\n

As the Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

\n\nContent Production & Strategy\n\nDevelop and execute content strategies for digital, print, and social media platforms in line with Waldorf Astoria’s global brand standards.\nBrainstorm and storyboard innovative concepts for hotel campaigns, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Sales, PR, and Operations.\nResearch peer luxury hotels’ and high-end brand campaigns to identify competitive benchmarks and emerging trends.\n\nGraphic Design & Branding\n\nCreate visually striking designs (e.g., hotel brochures, event invitations, signage, social media assets) that align with the Waldorf Astoria brand identity.\nEnsure all deliverables maintain design consistency and adhere to established brand guidelines, color palettes, and typography.\nCollaborate closely with the Hilton Brand Marketing team (parent company) to ensure alignment with global brand initiatives.\n\nPhotography & Videography\n\nShoot on-site photoshoots and video sessions to capture high-quality footage of property features, special events, and guest experiences.\nEdit and retouch images and videos for campaigns, social media, and website use.\nManage digital asset libraries, ensuring all media is cataloged and easily accessible.\n\nSocial Media Management\n\nDevelop and maintain a content calendar for social channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WeChat, etc.), tailoring each channel to fit target audiences.\nStay updated on best practices from peer luxury hotels and influencers to optimize Waldorf Astoria Osaka’s social media engagement and growth.\nAnalyze performance metrics and report on the impact of creative efforts, including recommendations for improvement based on data insights.\n\nCollaboration & Communication\n\nWork with internal teams (Sales, Events, Culinary, and F&B) to conceptualize storytelling angles that highlight the hotel’s unique offerings.\nPartner with external agencies, print vendors, and photographers as necessary to ensure top-tier deliverables and timely project completion.\nCommunicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes to the Director of Marketing & Communications, ensuring transparency and alignment on goals.\n\n

What are we looking for?

A Graphic Designer serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: 

\n\nExperience\n\nProven experience (3+ years) in content creation and graphic design, ideally in the luxury hospitality or premium lifestyle sectors.\nA professional portfolio showcasing expertise in branding, digital/print design, and social media content.\n\nTechnical Skills\n\nProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and other relevant design/video editing tools.\nFamiliarity with major social media platforms, scheduling tools, and analytics dashboards (e.g., Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite).\nStrong understanding of UX/UI best practices, especially for web and mobile marketing materials.\n\nSoft Skills & Competencies\n\nExceptional aesthetic judgment and attention to detail.\nStrong communication skills in English and Japanese; Chinese language proficiency is highly advantageous.\nCollaborative mindset, with an ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project timelines.\nAn innovative approach to problem-solving, combined with the ability to adapt designs based on performance metrics and peer feedback.\n\n\n

Preferred Attributes

\n\nExperience working with or within a luxury hotel brand, particularly in Asia or Japan.\nDemonstrated success in managing cross-cultural design and communication projects.\n\n
