HP product roadmap analysis: Understand product development strategy by analyzing HP product segment against competitors’ product segment, presented by slides or excel
HP/Supplier stakeholder list & Contract management: Gain deeper understanding for each suppliers by develop various internal/external list such as HP/ supplier org chart detailing each organization’s responsibilities or support new supplier NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement)
Coordinate Performance Business Review (PBR): Working with HP Supplier Performance Manager (SPM), support material gathering from each function/supplier timely

‧Global semiconductor industry intelligence: Collect, investigate, analyze HP related semiconductor information to help procurement team to deal with daily operation and strategic decision
IC domain knowledge management: Develop IC domain knowledge management digital tool, with the scope in key feature/comparison, end to end cost, manufacturing process and resilience
Requirement: Proficiency in Microsoft Office application. Basic Programing skill set is a plus

HP procurement process management: Gain understanding for procurement’s role by maintaining Battery & Webcam commodity key part list and shipment quantity in PowerBI on regular basis
Business intelligence visualization: Understand commodity industry by consolidating and present commodity market trend report analysis in excel and power point format. The output would be presented to leadership team and/or cross-function team
Support procurement manager in business event: Participate in HP & Suppliers’ internal meeting to gain industry knowledge
Requirement: Equipped with PowerBI, Excel skill. Strong communication and growth mindset

The team is as key coordinator to clarify bid scope with regions for specific special deals, also need to work with different commodity teams to get update cost for the bid. Intern’s job includes below 2 aspects
Cost optimization on unit commodities & ODM cost: Compile and analyze cost data on various PC products and commodities
Collaboration & Negotiation: Learn the cost structure of PC, Negotiation Skill also PM management Skill
Requirement: Detail-oriented and patient. Proactive personality, and love to learn new things. Has the sense of cost, and organized person.

Procurement Dashboard & Critical component database: Handle and manage various data such as Shipment, Spend, and Saving…etc to create a concise, visualized dashboard to facilitate daily procurement work flow/decision
Commodity Industry Newsletter: Consolidate industry trend and extract valuable insights as presentable format to internal team
Requirement: Good sense in numbers and logic. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/PowerBI: Advanced knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools. Have Python Programming Skills for data analysis, automation, and scripting tasks

Task automation: Automate repetitive tasks to improve process by coding, such as VBA or Python (but not limited to)
Database maintenance: Maintain, analyze and track inventory level for GSM to make next level decisions
Report creation: Generate complex business reports by gathering requirements for business leaders
Gain hands on experience on commodity planning
Requirement: Team player with communication skill, logical thinker who's good at number. Have basic understanding for database/automation using VBA, Python

Data collection and analysis: Engage with cross-functional team to efficiently clean and analyze the data, and extract valuable insights, presenting to leadership team or publishing internal newsletter
GSM daily work (optional): Learn the process of commodity planning and provide basic support
Requirement: Proficient in using PowerPoint, PowerBI as visualization and presentation tool. Have basic understanding for database and data analysis using Python.

The intern will be facilitating organizations to make informed business decisions
Business intelligence visualization: Analyze and consolidate industry trend/ real-time information to visualize as insightful presentation for internal executive leadership team, to help form strategy more efficiently. The job would have great exposure to lots of internal/external information, hp cross-function team, which helps lay foundation for HP product, process, and overall supply chain strategy
Requirement: PowerPoint (Microsoft, Kdan Brief, Prezi, Canva etc,). Advanced graphic design skill is a plus (Adobe Illustration…etc) Strong communication
