Job Description SummaryThe Electrical Engineering Intern will be the primary role in support of local and global Generator & Electrical Systems (GES) team for Gas Turbine Combine Cycle plant design, Elec. equipment design, and technical issue resolution between the Customer/Partner.Job Description
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Support local and global GES engineers to:
Define Medium or Low voltage electrical equipment provided by GES,Write technical purchase order Specifications for electrical equipment,Release the specs in drawings system and update the Bill-of-Material (BOM).Follow up of electrical equipment with sourcing, supplier or customer,Perform detailed review and supervision of engineering services provided by others, including oversight of scope definition,Ensure that the project design basis is met for all engineering activities, Check that GE equipment complies with customer specifications and local regulations,Work on engineering tools, like GTCC PLM, Aveva, PTS, etc.Qualifications/Requirements:
Postgraduate student in Engineering,Basic knowledge of Electric Machinery, Electric Apparatus, Power Electronic, etc.Communication and organizational skills,Fluent English in speaking and writing.>=3 working days per week in 6 six months.Desired:
Major in Electrical Engineering,Experience of Electric equipment design,Knowledge of Power plant, Generator/Transformer protection,Highly motivated self-starter,Demonstrated leadership ability.General:
Engineering intern position with opportunity for significant growth based on performance and contribution. Provide overall technical leadership, communication and coordination of engineering and design activities on selected power plant proposals and projects.
