Job DescriptionPosition Overview
The Release Specialist plays a critical role in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by ensuring that software releases are integrated, tested, and documented effectively.
This position involves close collaboration with the software development team, support their integration needs and to ensure timely completion of release processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Software Integration Support
Collaborate with the software development team to perform software integration activities.
Assist in troubleshooting integration issues and provide solutions to enhance development efficiency.
2. Tracking Release Reports
Monitor and track the completion of release-relevant reports from the software team.
Ensure that all necessary documentation is prepared and submitted on time for each software release.
3. Release Testing
Conduct thorough testing of software releases to ensure that the software meets the requirements from plant.
4. Documentation Preparation
Create and maintain comprehensive release documents, according to BDH (Bosch development Handbook).
Ensure that all documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date, compliant to quality requirements.
QualificationsAttention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and completeness in test execution and documentation.
Ownership: a high sense of ownership in executing tests, preparing reports in order to meet SW release due date.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and urgent demands associated with software releases.
Stress Resilience: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements
A background in engineering or SW quality assurance is preferred.
Familiarity with software integration tools and testing methodologies is advantageous.
Proficiency in documenting technical information clearly and concisely.
Basic oral and written English is required, e.g. CET 4.
This role requires a proactive individual who can take ownership of the release process and contribute positively to the overall success of software development initiatives
