Position summary

The Product Manager’s role is responsible for the development and implementation of “Abbott Diagnostics Medical, Japan [ADJ]” marketing strategies and tactics for “Molecular Diagnostic (MDx) portfolio (like ID NOW)” while being aligned w Global/APAC.The position involves a high level interaction with the Global/APAC ADJ’s stakeholders (Sales, Regulatory affairs, MCSA (Medical, Clinical, Science Affairs), Quality etc) to create new markets, expand existing businesses, launch new products, enhance organic growth and achieve expected sales targets. 

Job Description

Develop and drive ADJ marketing strategy for existing products in charge to ensure successful implementation at ADJ while being aligned w Global/APAC.Develop and drive ADJ “New Product Introduction” strategies to maximise sales and profitability while being aligned w Global/APAC.Execute promotion actions committed in ADJ marketing strategy, such as booth exhibition/seminar at society, ADJ hosted seminar, speaker program, postscript (article, video) of seminar etc.Develop and localize sales tools, digital promotion activities, training programs, patient communications and activities to support ADJ financial goals.Contribute to the strategic direction and business development of Global/APAC team by providing ADJ market intelligence relevant to maximizing the product portfolio market opportunitiesNetwork with key business partners (internal and external) and affiliates regularly using the most effective communications channels to support and drive achievement of ADJ sales targets.Develop and maintain expertise within the product portfolio and platforms in charge including a comprehensive knowledge of the market trendRegularly perform Japan market research to identify and monitor product/customer/competitor trends relevant to the portfolio.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

MS of Medical or Health Science (genetic engineering or equivalent)International Product Management (at least 3 years)Strong computer skill incl. Word, Excel and PowerPointFluent in written and oral English

Desirable

Experience in international business development especially in diagnostics, health management or pharmaceuticals
