About the Opportunity

The Clerk Typist reports to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager and is responsible for the following:

Patient Registration Filing Processing physician orders Distribution of reports Data entry on NShIS and PACS        Typing correspondence and reports using medical terminology Receipt and distribution of mail Maintaining workload and statistical data Other job-related duties

 
Coverage at other sites may be required. 
 
Must be able to work rotational schedules throughout all modalities in the DI Department as required.   

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

Grade 12 or equivalent One year Secretarial or Business course Medical Terminology Course One (1) year experience in the clerical field Proficient keyboarding skills Demonstrated knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in an area with frequent interruptions Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of the position Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

Permanent full-time position; 70 hours biweekly

Compensation and Benefits

$23.34 - $25.34 hourly
