The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team facilitates and advances person-centered care through evidence-based professional practice and learning strategies and programs that are designed provincially and implemented locally to enhance collaborative learning and practice. The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team takes a leadership role in creating a culture of collaboration with a focus on team-based care, evidence-informed practice, and learning and professional development to improve health outcomes for patients, families and communities. Through strong partnerships with the academic sector, regulators, and government, the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team has an integral role in influencing and operationalizing health system priorities.
About the OpportunityReporting to the Cental Zone Interprofessional Practice and Learning (IPPL) Director, the Professional Practice Leader (PPL) takes a leadership role in facilitating and promoting a culture of excellence in quality person centred care and advancing interprofessional practice and learning priorities that support clinical transformation for the achievement of collaborative and professional practice to improve health outcomes. Working closely with Senior leaders, Directors, Managers, and Clinical leadership teams The PPL takes a collaborative leadership role in fostering a culture of learning with a focus on clinical practice, clinical leadership, inter/intra professional collaboration, transition to practice, practice progression, profession-specific and interprofessional education and the development, implementation and evaluation of a model for inter/intra professional practice and standards consistent with health professional regulatory bodies and associations. The PPL serves as a consultant to the organization with respect to the practice environment, practice improvements, clinical standardization, workforce optimization, emerging evidence and addressing professional practice issues at the individual, team, program of care, clinical network and system level. The PPL works with all members of the interprofessional team to promote evidence-based practice, reflecting best practices and a culture of patient centred care.
This is a Central Zone position, travel across the zone maybe required.
About YouWe would like to hear from you if you have the following:
Health profession education at Master’s level or higher relevant to interprofessional practice and learning (i.e. Master of Education) required Active practicing licensure and in good standing or eligible for licensure as a health professional in Nova Scotia required Minimum of five (5) years clinical experience in related health professional required Minimum of three (3) years progressive leadership experience required Expert knowledge to critically analyze evidence-based practices to inform innovative, flexible and responsive learning and educational programming and quality improvement initiatives Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks applicable to the practice of health professions Experience in engaging, mentoring, developing and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative, participative manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives an organization Experience in initiating, leading and managing organizational change, and complex work Knowledge of scope of practice and scope of employment Experience in innovative curriculum development and design Experience in initiating and managing projects Demonstrated success in leading change

Compensation and Benefits$45.45 - $60.39 hourly
$88,629 - $117,7613 annually
