Job Description

We’re seeking a Sr. Software Engineer who is a full stack developer, smart, proactive, and results oriented to build elegant solutions for the Life insurance industry's complex business domain and make our industry-leading products even better. This person will have complete, end-to-end ownership of stories on the customer implementations. The ideal candidate has experience building products across the stack and a firm understanding of web frameworks, APIs, databases, and multiple back-end languages. The Sr. Software Engineer will join a small team to solve challenges for both the front-end and back-end architecture, ultimately delivering amazing experiences for the Life insurance industry.

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field3-10 years of proven experience in software development and system maintenance3-5 years of experience designing and developing elegant-yet-simple systems using best practices and design patternsSolid experience and understanding in the following technologies: .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET MVC, Angular, Webpack module loader, NPM, JSON/XML, LINQ, Entity Framework, IoC frameworks, CI/CD, RedisSolid understanding of CSS syntax, HTML5 specs, browser shortcomings/differences, and polyfillsSolid understanding of Bootstrap/Material CSS components and how/when to use eachExperience working with AWS technologies like Batch, Lambda, S3, SQS, etc.Excellent understanding of object-oriented design concepts and software development processes and methodsSolid understanding of parallel programming, async/await and the TPL libraryAbility to learn and adapt to continuously changing technologyMust have passion for development and latest technologiesExperienced at leading a team and mentoring junior developersExperienced at translating high-level requirements into logical tasks and identifying the technical requirements for each taskExperience working with internal customers, research groups, and various business support areas
