A Parts Person at Heidelberg Materials will be responsible for managing parts inventory and providing excellent customer service. As Reporting to the Shop Foreman here are some key responsibilities and requirements typically associated with this role: **Responsibilities:** + **Inventory Management** : Track, order, and maintain parts inventory to ensure optimal stock levels. + **Customer Service** : Assist customers in identifying and sourcing the parts they need, providing excellent service and support. + **Order Processing** : Process orders for parts and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy. + **Record Keeping** : Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and sales. + **Supplier Coordination** : Order parts from suppliers and manage incoming shipments to ensure accuracy. + **Database Management** : Use computerized inventory systems to manage parts databases and related software programs. + **Other Responsibilities :** Unload and load parts using the forklift. Deliver and pick up parts from outside vendors. Receive and manage fuel orders. **Requirements:** + **Experience** : Previous experience in parts management or a related field is often required. + **Education** : A high school diploma or equivalent is typically needed. Additional certifications in inventory management or automotive parts can be beneficial. + **Technical Knowledge** : Familiarity with automotive or machinery parts and accessories is essential. + **Customer Service Skills** : Strong ability to interact with customers and vendors, providing product information and support. + **Organizational Skills** : Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage inventory and orders efficiently. + **Computer Proficiency** : Ability to use inventory management software and related computer programs.
