Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to join our team in Lexington, SC for the summer of 2025. As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will immerse yourself in plant processes. This position will have the opportunity to tackle new challenges and projects and gain real-world working experience. You will have lots to talk about when you return to school in the fall! **What You'll Be Doing:** + Put your education into action in the field to support and participate in assigned project work. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, and safety departments, to ensure projects meet organizational goals. + Support preventative maintenance programs by analyzing trends and suggesting improvements. + Complete summer projects to gain an understanding of the operations fly ash beneficiation facilities, as well as drive efficiency. + Learn the mission of the electrical engineering and maintenance departments and different jobs and functions. + Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. **What Are We Looking For:** + Current juniors and seniors working toward a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field + Proficiency with Siemens DCS control system programming and troubleshooting is a plus + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal + Effectively working with engineers, technicians, and other professionals + Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills **Work Environment:** + Collaborative and inclusive team culture. + Opportunities for professional growth and development. + Exposure to cutting-edge technology and industry practices.
