Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. **What You'll Be Doing** + Assist in the preparation and detonation of explosives. + Ensure safety protocols are followed during blasting operations. + Maintain and inspect blasting equipment. + Support the team in loading and unloading materials. + Document and report any irregularities or safety concerns. **What Are We Looking For** + Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations. + Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. + Competency in handling and operating heavy machinery. + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. + Physical capability to perform manual labor in varying conditions. **Conditions of Employment** + Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. + Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. **Work Environment** + Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level. **What We Offer** + $22.70 per hour. + Benefits through the Union for Medical, Dental, Vision and Pension. + Union paid vacation, sick leave and holidays.
