Job Description

Scope of Position

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Import Department or Transcon Department

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure smooth and timely freight process flowEnsure accurate and timely data entry into our operational systemTrack and Trace TRANSCON or OCEAN files and reportingInteract with our customers in arranging their shipments, meeting customer service standardsContribute to maintain good relationships with suppliersMeet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulationsUnderstand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivityEnsure all customers standard operating procedures in place Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)Escalation of problems to Management when necessaryPromote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand withOutstanding integrity 

Qualifications

Knowledge

1-2 years or more related experience (preferred)Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Hazardous materials certification (preferred)Global Logistics Industry knowledgeFluent in English and Italian 

Skills

Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.Attention to DetailPositive and willing to help attitude
