*If hired for this position, you will be eligible for a $6,000 sign on bonus and an additional $6,000 Child and Adolescent Inpatient sign on bonus.  Payment for both will be made in 5 equal installments spread over the year.  Continuation of payment for the sign on bonuses is dependent on your continued employment in a bonus eligible position.

As a Registered Nurse/RN you will:

Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Document and report patient progress to treatment team.

Requirements:

Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position. This is a 36 hour per week, benefit eligible position. Hours are Monday and Tuesday nights, 7:00pm-7:30am and rotating weekends. Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred. All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment. 

**Any RN with less than one year of experience will automatically be placed in Sheppard Pratt’s Nurse Residency Program**
