We are looking for a Field Engineering Technician for an exciting and challenging position!
This is a full-time position, on-site, in Haifa.
The job requires fieldwork in different locations around the country.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will work in the field of airborne payloads within the Mission Systems Directorate, specializing in UAV engineering that integrates advanced software, hardware, and communication components. You will be responsible for acquiring knowledge and tools to support, test, and implement hands-on systems both in Israel and abroad .Team members are required to have quick learning abilities, leadership skills, initiative, the ability to analyze complex topics, and a system-wide perspective.
Your responsibilities will include:
performing system integrations and providing customer support in Israel and abroad Participation in and support of airborne and ground experiments to validate and mature the system System implementation and customer training Diagnosing and troubleshooting communication issuesInvestigating malfunctions, documenting knowledge, and writing procedures in English Providing support to development team
Requirements
Experience working in the field with communication systems and electronic units
Strong leadership skills and excellent interpersonal communication
Ability to read electrical schematics
Electrical/Communications Engineering Technician diploma
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering – an advantage
Practical knowledge and experience in IT and computer networks, including Wireshark
Experience working with electronic testing tools
High-level proficiency in English
Knowledge and experience in computers (BIOS, memory, operating systems – Windows, Linux)
Experience in harness and cabling design
Previous experience in a technical role in UAV squadrons of the Air Force – an advantage
