SUMMARY OF DUTIES

As instructed by the supervisor, provides direction and coordinates work for the Material Handling area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1.    Coordinates the work responsibilities for the Material Handlers, and ensures the proper and efficient completion of assignments and processes.
2.    Assists with interviewing job applicants. 
3.    Provides supervisor employee performance information for their evaluation process and assist with the performance review.
4.    Trains Material Handlers regarding job responsibilities.
5.    Problem solves clean room issues by locating work orders and parts and responding to paper work questions and concerns.
6.    Makes minor adjustments to work order pick lists.
7.    Works with the Production and Inventory Clerk teams to verify pick lists, lot numbers and materials inventory counts.
8.    Notifies Planning, Purchasing and Production of material shortages and responds to adjustments in production schedules.
9.    Organizes and participates in team meetings.
10.    Compiles and records data for team goals and management distribution.
11.    Operates forklifts, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment. 
12.    Performs cycle counts and inventories for raw materials.
13.    Performs other related duties and tasks as required.

SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

•    Education equivalent to a High School Diploma, with two years of related experience.
•    Demonstrated knowledge of basic math and the ability to apply it in a work situation.
•    Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to work with others to accomplish goals.
•    Ability to read and understand written instructions.
•    Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
•    Excellent attention to detail.
•    Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

COMPETENCIES

•    Production part retrieval/lot number verification
•    Material flow/handling
•    Raw material cycle counts/inventory
•    Documentation 


COMMENTS

Infectious Control Risk Category III:

The risk category explains whether or not employees are likely to come into contact with blood or body fluids while performing their jobs.  Risk category III states employment and procedures that do not require exposure.
