Job Description

Onin Staffing has immediate openings for Material Handlers with forklift experience for 1st and 2nd shifts.

A logistics forklift operator's job is to move goods, manage inventory, and ensure the efficient flow of materials in a facility. They often work with other logistics team members to optimize storage space. 

Here are some of the responsibilities of a logistics forklift operator: 

Receiving, storing, and shippingReceive, store, and ship goods, including raw materials and finished products Loading and unloadingLoad and unload products onto and off of trailers, rail cars, and cargo ships StackingStack loads in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions MaintainingPerform regular maintenance on machinery to ensure safety and determine if repairs are needed DocumentingComplete forms, maintain production records, and report issues Quality assuranceReport product damage and shortages, and rotate stock so that older items are sold or shipped first SafetyEnsure that operations comply with company safety standards and procedures, and keep forklift driving areas free of obstructions and spills 


Work Experience

Logistics forklift operators may need to be able to work unsupervised and in a team, have good math skills, and be available to work on weekends. They typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and a specialized forklift certification.
