During your shift as a 1st Class Electrician, you will Responsible for repair and maintenance of the Instrument and Electrical equipment encompassing the plant switch-gear installations, electrical and pneumatic system, PLC controllers and AC and DC drive controls across site.Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and computer logic to trouble shoot production problems and resolve them.Perform process control, sensing and monitoring system calibrations and record keeping.Work with other team members, engineers and production personnel to complete job task, breakdowns, or machine redesigns to improve/resolve production needs.Support, maintain and improve the plant MPI programs to maintain equipment reliability.Support production operations during the second and third shift as well as weekend coverage.Preform electrical PM’s maintain records and continuity checks.Operate mobile equipment Ensure all electrical/mechanical equipment is compliant with MSHA standards and ensure electrical safety PPE is inspected and in compliance with NFPA-70EMaintain and set up of instrument devices: Pressure, level, flow, temperature.If you have... High School education or equivalent and 1 – 2 years of experience in the field of supporting a manufacturing environment.Related work experience in reading loop sheets, electrical interconnect drawings, ladder logic drawings, equipment and knowledge of prevailing electrical codes.Ability to read and update electrical and instrument documents such as schematics, specifications, control diagrams and one-line diagrams.Good working knowledge of chemical plant equipment and technologies and good understanding of working within the rules of safety and environmental policies.Good oral and written communication skills as well as good computer skills and good troubleshooting skills.Create your own chemistry with you@BASF
