Job Overview
Hubbell is seeking Assembly Operators for our 1st Shift Assembly Department in our Chatsworth, CA facility. Assembly Operators will be part of a growing, dynamic, and diverse team during a time of growth. Assembly Operators will work deflashing, grinding, drilling, and assembling thermoset box and vault assemblies of various sizes by using large to small hand-held grinders, hole saws, sanders, etc., and other small hand tools. Pay will begin at $20.50 per hour. In addition, as a newly hired employee with the company, you will be eligible to receive a $1000 retention bonus after the 90th day with Hubbell. Health care benefits start on the first of the month following your hire date.

+ Will work in a fast paced and group environment
+ Will work with different hand powered and portable tools
+ Inspect parts and identify defects
+ Will work with precision to ensure all parts fit and function properly
+ Adhere to workplace safety protocols and procedures
+ Must be able to manage time efficiently and mee production deadlines while maintain a positive attitude
+ Foster 6s and sustain practices.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
+ Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with company policies
+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in a fast paced environment with repetitive motion, clutch, lift, grab, bend, stoop, push and pull with no difficulties, be on feet during 100 % of the work shift, and clearly communicate issues.
EQUIVALENT EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
+ Heavy manufacturing and construction experience preferred
+ High school diploma preferred but not required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:
+ Ability to follow instructions.
+ Ability to work in a group environment, and ask for help when needed.
+ Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
+ Ability to work with tools which may include hammers, drills, sanders, screwdrivers, scissors, etc.
