This position reports to

Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

Quickly troubleshoot tooling, mechanical and program issues and make necessary adjustments to production equipment with minimum supervisionAnalyze variations in product specifications, recognize dimensional misalignments, make geometric calculations and identify contributing factors to solve production problemsUse tools, hardware and measuring devices necessary to service all equipmentPerform equipment preventative maintenance and maintain inventory for the departmentPerform machine changeoversTeach basic problem solving and troubleshooting techniques to operatorsAssist maintenance or tool and die team with machine repairsThis is a Monday - Thursday, with OT as needed to meet customer demand.This is a Safety Sensitive position under the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment of 2016.

Qualifications for the role

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), and six months to one year related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to adapt to fast-paced changing priorities (different machine, product, volume, or team)Ability to comprehend safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAbility to present information to individuals, groups or other employees through verbal or written reports or correspondenceAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole umbers, fractions, and decimals)Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret graphsAbility to comprehend, communicate and carry out detailed written or verbal instructionsAbility to solve problems in a standardized situation involving several concrete variablesAbility to use a computer for tasks such as preparing job instructions and standard operating procedures, entering spread sheet data and for email correspondenceAbility to handle chemicals safely (lubricating oils and hydraulic fluids)Ability to work in a high noise environment that requires standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, kneeling and lifting or pushing weights up to 50 poundsUnderstand lean concepts and OEE data with the ability to actively contribute to continuous process improvementsFlexible in terms of shift scheduling, including scheduling for overtime and holiday shiftsPreferred Qualifications:Must be a self-motivated safety conscious team playerMust have a strong commitment and ability to follow health and safety rules and procedures and utilize all required safety equipment1 year certification from a technical college and 1-3 years of experience as a machine setup operator in a manufacturing environmentDetail oriented with good analytical and communication skillsCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
