Job Description
We are searching for a 1st shift CNC Operator to support our production staff. The ideal candidate will possess a basic understanding of machining principles and CNC machine operations, with a strong mechanical aptitude and interest in CNC machining. This role involves operating both manual and CNC machines to produce small to medium-sized components, either as finished products or as parts of larger assemblies.
ResponsibilitiesOperate manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathes.Position parts in specified locations using various fastening devices.Use hand-held tools, electrical tools, and pneumatic tools.Operate lift equipment as needed.Use precision measuring tools as required.Recognize various material types used in the department and adjust equipment as needed.Recognize worn tooling and change machine tools as required.Verify the accuracy of completed products or batch inspections.Report defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions, or non-compliant products to the Department Lead.Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.Complete all necessary paperwork, including in-process or carbon copy production sheets.Essential SkillsBasic understanding of machining principles and CNC machine operations.Mechanical aptitude and strong interest in CNC machining.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Basic computer skills for machine operation and data entry.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn and adapt quickly.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.Ability to work flexible hours, including evening and weekend shifts as required.Commitment to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma.Prior CNC operating experience.Experience with lathe, mill, machining, and other related equipment.Ability to read blueprints and use calipers and micrometers.Knowledge of G-code and CNC programming.Inspection and machine setup experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Our facility is very clean, climate-controlled, and equipped with advanced manufacturing capabilities for a variety of industries. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and occasionally to high places, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually moderate and may require hearing protection in specific locations. The physical demands include standing, sitting, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling, talking or hearing, occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/moving up to 25 pounds.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47000.00 - $47000.00/yr.
