Job Title: 1st Shift Extrusion Dept Operator
Job Description

We are seeking dedicated 1st Shift Production Operators who will be trained to operate a variety of extrusion equipment. This role involves setting up machines based on production orders, maintaining production quality, obtaining samples for quality control, labeling, and packing finished products.

ResponsibilitiesCheck operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation.Obtain material for processing from inventory bins and advise supervisor if damaged, defective, or missing material is found.Set up machines based on production orders.Monitor material quality for any defects and adjust machine parameters as needed.Label and pack finished products as produced on the machine per work order instructions.Review work orders and drawings to resolve conflicts.Wear a respirator to perform machine setup.Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.Comply with OHSA safety standards when performing job duties.Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent work experience.2 years of experience in heavy general labor, heavy machine operating, carpentry, or construction.Good attendance.Ability to work hard in a manufacturing environment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Teamwork skills.Fast learner.Patience.Self-motivation.Some power tool skills.Some mechanical skills.Interest in operating machines.Some Microsoft Office skills.Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.Additional Skills & QualificationsConsistent job tenure (candidates with 3 jobs in 3 years will not be considered).Why Work Here?

This is a contract-to-hire position where all candidates will start at an entry-level position with potential for career progression. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr.
