Responsibility:  

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Assist the production Supervisor with insuring the process is operated in accordance to plant and USDA procedures. The designated person assigned the task of Assist the production Supervisor with insuring the process is operated in accordance to plant and USDA procedures, is responsible for performing the task as set out in this work instruction. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Essential Functions: Lead Person must be able to perform all jobs in his/her assigned area of responsibility in accordance to plant POG procedures. Lead Person will have knowledge of the company policies and procedures. Perform all assigned tasks while ensuring safety quality and productivity. Must have the ability to obtain a pallet jack/forklift driver certification and be able to transport tote or container up to 2000 lbs. Must be able to pull and lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly. Must have the ability to walk and stand for long periods of time (up to 3 hours. Must possess the ability to communicate with management at all levels, and perform any assigned by management at all levels, and perform any other duties assigned by management. An excellent safety record and health record is necessary. Employee must be able to work in a cold environment with temperatures ranging from 40º to 50º F.

Must be capable of the following: 

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Assist with Process set-up, assembly, operation and post- production activities. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Perform pre- flight inspection of his/her assigned area of responsibility to insure a successful production start- up. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Assist the production supervisor with insuring is the process is operated in accordance to plant and USDA procedure. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Perform periodic verifications to insure operational Sanitation is in compliance.  

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Perform pre flight inspection of his/her assigned area of responsibility to insure a successful production start-up. Assist the production supervisor with insuring the process is operated in accordance to plant and USDA procedures. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Complete HACCP, SSOP and production related processing documentation in his/her assigned area of responsibility. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Insure shop floor control Boards are updated with accurate performance, safety and communication based information. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Assist the production Supervisor in verifying the associates continuously adhere to the company GMP policy and procedures. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Insure the housekeeping in his/her assigned area of responsibility is maintained in a manner that is considered good housekeeping. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Assist the production supervisor, PC, and trainers with daily activities. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Assist with effective communication or process changes or deviations. 

\r\n\r\n\r\n

Assist with the administration of job rotation for his/her assigned area of responsibility.       

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

\r\n\r\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\r\nAbility to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions\r\nMust be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.\r\nMust be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States\r\nMust pass a background check, drug screen\r\nMust be able to read and write\r\nMust be able to read a scale\r\nProperly scale product to correct weight according to specs                        \r\n\r\n

Physical Requirements:

\r\n\r\nStanding (8 hours a day or more)\r\nLifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling (up to and including 50 lbs. or more)\r\nReaching overhead (up to and including 25 lbs.)\r\nClimbing and adjusting stationary stands\r\nWorking with handheld cutting tools\r\nGripping, grasping, and twisting using hands and wrists\r\nBending and stooping for long periods of time\r\n\r\n

Working Conditions/Department Description:

\r\n\r\nWork in damp and cold environment  \r\nWork with loud and noisy machinery\r\nWork in dusty environment when using spice\r\nWork with raw meat\r\nWork in congested areas\r\n\r\n

Job Requirements:

\r\n\r\nMust be at least 18 years of age\r\nLegally authorized to work in the United States.\r\nMechanical machinery experience preferred\r\nMechanical machinery experience preferred\r\nPoultry or food Manufacturing preferred\r\nLead experience preferred \r\nMust be able to read, write, and comprehend in English\r\n
