1st Shift Quality Control Clerk (Inventory)

Pay: 18/HR

Location: Modesto

Schedule: Tues-Fri 6:00AM-4:30PM

Overtime required when needed

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of a supervisor, the Inventory Control Specialist provides analysis/reporting for the Warehouse Operations team and clients as needed. In addition, the Inventory Control Specialist serves as a Warehouse Management System (WMS) technical expert providing support for WMS users through training and troubleshooting issues.

The Inventory Control Specialist uses an RF gun and other equipment to perform several inventory support functions including cycle counting, relieving destruction, license plating aging product, and sorting aged product. They also participate in physical inventory testing and assigning product to locations.

Operational (100%)

High Reach ForkliftCycle count and reconcile product inventory by storage location as directedNotify supervisor of all inventory variancesParticipate in the Biennial DEA InventoryGenerate scheduled inventory status reports to monitor inventory transactionsCommunicate with leads, supervisors, managers, and customersDemonstrate safe ability to operate Order PickerPerform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Legally authorized to work in the U.S.High School diploma (or its equivalent) or minimum of two year’s work experience in a warehouse or production job; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position2-3 years’ experience performing analytical work; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this positionLean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certified or ability to become certifiedProven interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to delegate and prioritize workBilingual a plus but not requiredAble to handle difficult client situations in a manner that maintains good business relations, both internal and externalStrong ability to use Microsoft Office and Google suites; experience using basic office equipmentAbility to work at elevated heightsAbility to use a scan gun or gladiator and an order pickerAble to follow standard operation procedures and follow instructionsAble to work independently and as part of a teamAble to work in an environment that is not climate controlledAble to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (over-time) as needed
