Kemps in Cedarburg is looking for a hard-working person to lead our Plant Case-Room team!
Location: W55 N155 McKinley Blvd, Cedarburg, WI 53012
Hours:4am-Noon, Monday-Friday. Some weekend & Holiday work may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Coordination & Compliance: Oversee and direct the activities of the case dock team, ensuring all tasks are assigned appropriately. Uphold safety standards, maintain work quality, and ensure adherence to union regulations and the collective bargaining agreement. Shift Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for shift supervisors and managers, promptly reporting safety concerns, work stoppages, maintenance issues, and other operational challenges. Documentation & Sanitation: Accurately complete all required forms and logs related to case room operations and sanitation processes. Equipment & Trailer Management: Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs). Coordinate with line operators to facilitate trailer offloading and request new trailers when necessary. Trailer Safety & Cleanliness: Ensure trailers are securely dock-locked when doors are open and that doors are closed and dock locks released before trailer removal. Communicate with spotters regarding trailer cleanliness and the need for washing before loading. Waste & Return Management: Organize and manage bad pallets, returned milk, and scrap cases. Initiate requests for scrap trailers when sufficient quantities are accumulated or at the end of the shift. Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas, including the case room and adjacent production spaces. Sanitation Compliance: Ensure all sanitation requirements are completed weekly for your shift. Break Coverage: Provide coverage for other case room employees during breaks. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support plant operations.Who Are We?

Must be able to operate clamp truck, forklift and / or pallet-jacks in a safe and efficient manner (Willing to train the right person). Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Effective verbal and written communications skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks. Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift. Must be ableto lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary and manually stack and move cases up to 6-8 cases high. Must be able to work in a wet environment and work in an environment where temperature is maintained at 35–40 degrees Fahrenheit.
