Position Summary: This role is a unique opportunity for a highly-driven undergraduate to spend the summer with a fast growing engineering department. The engineering internship offers a student the opportunity to apply classroom concepts in a manufacturing setting while gaining valuable first-hand experience working with state-of-the-art milling, pasta production, and packaging equipment. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for drafting, equipment and part design, and implementation of designed components. Development of component dimensional drawings, updating facility layout drawings, and new component concept drawings using 2D AutoCAD software. Equipment documentation to improve component fabrication resource. Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and management personnel to successfully complete assigned projects. Learn good manufacturing and food safety practices. Other duties, as assigned Basic Qualifications: Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Must have experience with mS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT) Must be able to deal with multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Successful completion of at least 6 semesters of an accredited Bachelor’s Degree Program in Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering, Industrial Engineering Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other applicable engineering field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with 2D AutoCAD software Previous experience in an Engineering Internship role Physical Job Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for 6+ hours per day Must be able to lift-up to 34 pounds 6+ hours per day Must be able to push, pull, grasp and use fine motor skills for 6+ hours per day Must be able to make fine distinctions in sound, and express ideas by spoken and written word Must be able to balance, bend, crouch, kneel and stoop for 3+ hours per day Must be able to reach above shoulders for 3+ hours per day Must be able to climb on and off a ladder for 3+ hours per day Must be able to work in a dusty environment for 3+ hours per day
