Deere & Company is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer, Factory Automation in Dubuque, IA with the following requirements: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 4 years of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 7 years of related experience. Required skills: Experience with automation and controls design in a manufacturing setting, taking solutions from concept to production deployment (3 yrs); Skilled in PLC and PC programming and troubleshooting (4 yrs); Experience with device connectivity, networking, and security protocols (2 yrs); Experience identifying use cases and deploying a variety of industrial vision solutions (1 yr); Experience managing & leading automation projects from concept to production deployment (3 yrs); Experience developing software programming solutions and basic knowledge architecture principles connectivity protocols with various connectivity (4 yrs); Proven ability to scout new technologies and integrate into both new & existing controls design solutions (3 yrs); Ability to solve complex problems and develop solutions to new applications (3 yrs); Experience with integration, and start-up of new automation systems (4 yrs). Less than 10% international and domestic travel required. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 20% (1 day per week) remote work allowed.
