State of Iowa teaching license with 5-12 Instructional Strategist I: Mild/Moderate endorsement required.
Candidate will need to complete both written and physical components of Nonviolent Crisis Prevention (CPI) training provided by district upon hire.
Qualifications:
A. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
+ Knowledge of and enthusiasm to work with students at the designated level.
+ Ability to create and maintain healthy relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
+ Ability to provide instruction to effectively meet the needs of all students.
+ Ability to effectively implement multiple teaching methods (co-teaching, small group, differentiation, etc).
+ Knowledge and ability to implement the Iowa Teaching Standards.
+ Knowledge of special education, section 504 and MTSS process.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with others.
+ Ability to effectively use technology for instruction, communication and data management.
+ Ability to effectively engage in professional growth individually and with collaborative teams.
+ Ability to implement federal, state and district goals with students.
+ Knowledge of Federal, State and Department of Iowa regulations.
+ Knowledge of Federal rights, Privacy Act and other civil rights regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
+ Demonstrates effective implementation of the Iowa Teaching Standards.
+ Meets district standards as set forth in the Certified Staff Professional Growth Model Guidelines.
+ Perform all trainings as required.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
