Northrop Grumman is seeking Associate Mechanical Engineer. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Linthicum, MD.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems (NGMS) Advanced Processing Solutions Business pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines the leading edge of exotic new technologies, and drives advances in the sciences. One of our most challenging new fields is Transformational Computing, which is focused on developing innovative next generation superconducting electronics (SCE) and advanced computing technologies.

This position requires work onsite at our Mission Systens facility in Linthicum, Maryland.

Job Opportunities in this Position:

CAD Modeling ~ NX, SolidWorks, etc.ThermalCable designLab and fixture designWorking with cryogens and/or cryogenic test systems.

Basic Qualifications: 

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institutionBe majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineer or related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degreeHave an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile). Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher

Salary Range $78,200 - $82,100

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
