The Apprenticeship Programme at Bloomberg is an exciting opportunity to enter the company, taking on real responsibility, and discovering new skills from day one. Our apprentices make meaningful contributions to our company, while also learning across the industry. Targeted at school leavers, young professionals, military veterans, and those seeking a career change, our program is designed to bridge the gap between the British education system and the ever-changing job market.
Bloomberg TV Operations Team
Bloomberg News is the world's preeminent Business News organization, leading the way in delivering fast and accurate information on multiple platforms to financial and business professionals. If it affects markets, Bloomberg News will be there. We lead the way in breaking news on companies, economies, commodities and government policies to help our ever-expanding audience stay ahead. As an apprentice you will gain hands on experience, where you will be trained across multiple aspects of the TV studio including; floor managing, operating studio camera robotics, camera racks, lighting, wireless camera operating and teleprompting. The Studio also produces pre-recorded interviews that require vision-mixing, directing and sound-mixing. The team are looking for someone with a strong proactive mindset, strong teamwork and a genuine passion for operating in a live TV/broadcasting environment.
Eligibility criteria:Three A-levels (Grade A*-C) or equivalent Possess the right to work in the UK Have lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years
What we would like to see:
A passion for broadcast news and technology Keen interest in Broadcasting through work experience or extracurricular activities Ability to work calm under pressure Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Be great at time and workload management, this will be required while jumping between technical and customer service roles Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proactive, self-starter mindset Willingness to work early mornings
