About You and This Role

As a Production Engineer (m/f/d) at our site in Stade, Germany, you will ensure the safe and reliable operation of our on-site manufacturing plants. You will act as a key resource by applying your technical skills to optimize plant operations, resolve problems, and enable low-cost operations. Your knowledge, skills, and abilities will generate tremendous value for Dow.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the operations and engineering teams, leveraging your problem-solving skills and technical expertise to maintain high standards.Elevate and appropriately apply knowledge of the plant and technology by referencing historical data and conferring with the Technology Center or other subject matter experts (SMEs).Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies, partnering with experts to perform advanced troubleshooting and improve operating discipline. Diagnose and document root causes of asset utilization losses in the facility.Ensure Most Effective Technology (MET) is understood and utilized, and that process automation is used as a tool to optimize plant performance.Conduct daily reviews of logbook and alarm history to better understand plant operations.Participate in the implementation of an effective EH&S program.Participate in audits and prepare key reviews.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Process, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering preferred, along with initial manufacturing or engineering experience, or a very good Bachelor Professional degree.First professional experience in the areas of (chemical) production, process control/engineering, and maintenance is preferred.Experience in interacting with interdisciplinary teams and external customers.Strong communication and leadership skills.Knowledge and experience in quality management and its implementation.Fluent in German with good knowledge of the English language.

Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Proficiency in using process automation tools and technologies.
