2025 Charles Schwab Technology Data Engineering Internship - Colorado only

The interactive internship program focuses on a variety of opportunities which feature a business track project, an intern cohort project, learning activities, a dedicated intern leader, networking, and exploring your unique personal strengths! You will have the opportunity to work side by side with some of the financial services industry’s best data minds. Data professionals at Schwab spend their days defining the strategy and implementation of our enterprise data warehouse and our emerging data platforms. Our team, and our interns, play a key role in helping Sales, Marketing, Finance, and executive leadership make fact-based decisions by integrating and analyzing data. Daily tasks may include creating and updating data pipeline specifications and/or designing data pipeline logic, building and maintaining code for big data ingestion, identifying opportunities to leverage company data to drive business outcomes, and designing and developing scalable data ingestion frameworks. As you begin to invest in your early talent career, personal and professional support will be provided. We’re seeking passionate students with extraordinary potential interested in data analysis or data engineering who have the courage to ask “why”. **Required Qualifications** + Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program + Have enough credit hours to put you at a junior level status at a 4-year college or university + Have not already completed your bachelor's degree + Able and willing to relocate at your own expense if relocation is needed + Able to commit to working 40 hours a week for the 9 weeks of the internship dates of June 9, 2025 - August 8, 2025 + Able to start full time employment during business hours between August 2025 - September 2026 **Preferred Qualifications** + Majoring in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related subject area + Understanding of Java or C# development + Familiarity with Data Engineering, ETL, Hadoop, and MongoDB + Database modeling knowledge + Basic understanding of object-oriented analysis and design. + Good analytical problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision-making skills + Interest in data analysis or designing and building data pipelines to move data. + Passion for solving problems while embracing innovation and experimentation. + Optimism and curiosity, who possess a keen sense of purpose, awareness, and knowledge + Resourcefulness and flexibility, who enjoy working through cross-functional partnerships and collaboration to achieve a common purpose + An innovative and questioning demeanor, who constantly look for better ways to do things, have a passion for service, and seek to exceed client expectations. **What’s in it for you** At Schwab, we’re committed to empowering our employees’ personal and professional success.
