2025 Chemical Compliance Engineer Student Experience

Co-op: An 8-month long opportunity, Co-op positions are a full-time employment experience. Co-ops are fully immersed into the worlds of corporate and production industry as a full-time team member.

Internship: A semester long opportunity, Internships positions are a part-time employment experience. With the opportunity to extend multiple semesters, Interns tap into the foundations of our corporate and production industries.

Co-op and Intern opportunities span across 18 of Bobcat’s different functions.

Role & Responsibility

Key Responsibilities

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Projects Assist in the development and implementation of ESG strategies and initiatives. Conduct research and analysis on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to ESG. Coordinate laboratory analysis on machines, parts, and raw materials Lead machine part tear-down studies

 

Overall Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance

Help ensure compliance with local, national, and international chemical regulations. Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory documents and reports. Monitor changes in chemical regulations and update compliance protocols accordingly.

Data Management and Analysis

Collect, organize, and analyze data related to chemical usage, emissions, and waste management. Maintain accurate records and databases to support compliance and sustainability efforts. Generate reports and summaries to communicate findings and recommendations. Job Requirement

Qualifications:

Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing in Chemical Engineering or Material and Metallurgical Engineering. 3.0 or higher GPA preferred Be able to commit full-time to Bobcat for the entire term of the co-op (8 months) or internship (4-months) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) Communication and collaboration skills Others
