As an Emerging Talent Intern in the Real Estate Europe group within J.P. Morgan Global Alternatives, you will join our team in Paris for a 6-month internship as part of your current educational program. J.P. Morgan Global Alternatives is the alternative investment arm of J.P. Morgan Asset Management. With $213 billion in assets under management and 350+ investment professionals, we offer strategies across the alternative investment spectrum, including real estate, private equity and credit, infrastructure, transportation, timber, liquid alternatives, and hedge funds (as of Sept. 2023). Operating from offices throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific, our independent alternative investment engines combine specialist knowledge and a singular focus with the global reach, vast resources, and powerful infrastructure of J.P. Morgan to help meet each client's specific objectives. Job responsibilities
Asset Management of real estate investments across multiple asset classes in France with a focus on value add and core strategies Cash-flow modeling and financial analysis of real estate opportunities Assists in drafting of investment memorandums for both internal investment committee and external client presentations Actively participates in the due diligence process including lease review and analysis of third-party audit reports (technical, environmental, legal, tax, etc.) as well as financing arrangements Conducts market researchRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
At least 6 months of experience (including internships) in the Institutional Real Estate industry (either from an asset manager, investment manager, private equity or investment banking background) Ability to build Real Estate financial models in Excel Strong academic track-record in finance, engineering or real estate Ability to produce clean, concise and impactful PowerPoint presentations Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Strong writing and analytical skills and great attention to detail Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously Fluent in French and EnglishPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Strong analytical skills, high aptitude for numbers Ability to identify trends through numerical analysis Ability to price real estate using ”LBO” and sales comparable methods Strong written communication skills Presentation skills Ability to identify qualitative attributes of an attractive real estate deal (location / building specific attributes such as floorplate layout, tenant finishes, parking ratios, amenities, etc.)
