2025 Executive Associate Program - Business Line Marketing
**Overview:** The Executive Associate Program is designed for 2nd year MBA students who seek to accelerate their career within M&T Bank. Program hires will undergo an immersive leadership experience designed to develop leadership competencies and strategic capabilities. Throughout the first year, the incoming cohort will be introduced to Program alumni, bank wide leadership, and collaborate with peers to drive change to support the vision and goals of the Bank. We’re looking for a marketing lead that is a self-starter, with a strong desire to grow the business, and can conceptualize multi-channel campaigns and day-to-day marketing activities that align with long-term strategic goals,. A segment-based marketing lead who will serve as a subject matter expert responsible for driving new business. This person will oversee the conceptualization, development, and evaluation of highly visible and critical marketing and communication programs – these programs should be designed to meet business objectives of both M&T and Wilmington Trust’s banking business unit managers, while reinforcing the differentiated, end-to-end banking experience we aim to deliver for our customers. We are looking for a candidate that is proactive, curious, collaborative and data driven. **Primary Responsibilities:** The marketing lead will work with cross functional teams, including sales / sales enablement, email, digital, brand, legal, compliance, and line of business senior management, to lead marketing and communication activities that help grow the segment at M&T Bank. • Understands the needs, mission, vision and strategic direction of the enterprise to create segment marketing and/or communication campaign needs based upon business objectives. • Acts as a subject matter expert for segment. Able to influence, create alignment, and inspire action across colleagues. • Align disparate teams around a common vision and core set of priorities for small- and large-scale client campaigns. Clearly defining campaign goals, objectives, theme, and message • Seek opportunities for test & learn and broadly share/socialize learnings and areas for improvement, develop recommendations based upon campaign results. • Maintain and share awareness of new trends and developments in marketing and company products and services. • Track budgets and manage invoices for marketing campaigns. • Act as partners in regional / corporate level initiatives to support service excellence, employee commitment, strategy planning and operational efficiency. • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand. Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. Complete other related duties as assigned. **Scope of Responsibilities:** Perform project/management related assignments in field of expertise within the Executive Associate Program. **Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:** None **Education and Experience Required:** Completed MBA from an accredited business school. Minimum two years professional, full time work experience. Demonstrated leadership potential, as evidenced through previous work experience, extracurricular activities, or community involvement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically analyze complex business challenges Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines Work visa sponsorship not offered for this role The candidate will be joining a team that practices the Agile methodology in their approach to project management, and as a key stakeholder and core team member of, responsibilities and skills include: + Develops strong relationships. Communicate campaign plans and strategies broadly to all stakeholders (across the department and with key partners across the division, when necessary). + Able to translate partner goals into marketing strategy and tactics. + Collaborate with a large team of partners while utilizing best practices of scrum and Kanban management to guide priorities. No prior scrum or Kanban experience required, just an eagerness to learn! + Strategy, prioritization, and relationship management skills. + Curious, flexible, dependable, and responsive in the face of many moving parts M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $171,000. The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation. The range listed above encompasses all geographic locations.
