2025 Executive Associate Program - Conventional Debt & Specialized Agency Services
**Overview:** The Executive Associate Program is designed for 2nd year MBA students who seek to accelerate their career within M&T Bank. Program hires will undergo an immersive leadership experience designed to develop leadership competencies and strategic capabilities. Throughout the first year, the incoming cohort will be introduced to Program alumni, bank wide leadership, and collaborate with peers to drive change to support the vision and goals of the Bank. **Dept Description:** The Global Capital Markets team works with decision-makers representing major global institutions to provide corporate trust & agency solutions, in addition to custody, entity management, back office, and administrative services. We take the position of trustee and rarely exercise any discretion or act as fiduciaries. This position within Conventional Debt and Specialty Agency Services segment has a continued focus on driving revenue from a variety of sources including Public Finance, Corporate Debt, Escrow, and Large Trusts. **Overview:** This EA will be responsible for streamlining ongoing activities and supporting the assessment, planning, coordination, and implementation of defined projects that support service, productivity, and process improvements. Within this role you’ll have the opportunity to potentially make an impact on several ongoing initiatives that range from delivering an updated service model, to providing analysis to support future growth plans. Your daily responsibilities could include: **Responsibilities:** + Develop and produce high complexity departmental reports and spreadsheets to include but not limited to project or product strategy analysis, historical reporting, workflow analysis, and financial analysis. + Identify trends, emerging issues and engage relevant stakeholders to develop project plans, organize virtual and physical events, synthesize multiple points of view and communicate findings utilizing such tools as white papers, reports and other relevant formats. + Perform complex analysis and judgment-based work over multiple disciplines to support business decisions + Lead the creation and maintenance of various reporting dashboards. Go beyond basic reporting and delivery with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and information to provide meaningful insights and professionally communicate those insights to management and business partners. + Lead continuous improvement of existing processes, develop new processes, or enhance existing processes where required including maintenance plans, procedural documentation and custom tools for automation. Identify resources that can be utilized to support business operations or improve existing business processes. Present findings and make recommendations to management. + Lead in the planning and implementation of new projects, programs, and plans to achieve short- and long-term business objectives; coordinate of the design and execution of various projects for the promotion and maintenance of the business. + Take a lead role in supporting departmental audits including user recerts, compliance testing. + Manage the planning, testing, and implementation of new projects, systems, products and regulatory changes impacting the unit (dept). + Act as lead for departmental system support, coordinating with business partners, vendors and technology to address issues for the unit (dept). + Complete other related duties as assigned. **Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:** None **Education and Experience Required:** Completed MBA from an accredited business school. Minimum two years professional, full time work experience. Demonstrated leadership potential, as evidenced through previous work experience, extracurricular activities, or community involvement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and critically analyze complex business challenges Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines Work visa sponsorship not offered for this role M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $171,000. The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation. The range listed above encompasses all geographic locations.
