Raytheon’s SI&T is seeking a Systems Engineer I who will support Radar test activities in Huntsville AL in support of radar analysis and ground and flight test activities. You will be responsible for engineering activities that include test for radar development events, development of verification strategies for advanced radar capabilities and software builds, and the execution of the strategies within a HWIL or other simulation environment. You will work independently and side-by-side engineering team members and occasionally perform local and non-local travel to Raytheon and government facilities.
What You Will Do
+ Perform data analysis of simulations, software, and radar hardware and utilize the results in support of Ground Test and Flight Test events
+ Perform analysis of regression test of the radar software
+ Document analysis results in reports and briefings for internal and external stakeholders
+ Support engineering activities that include integration and test, modeling and simulation, requirements analysis, data analysis, and ground test and flight test data analysis
+ Participate in key processes such as peer, gate, and test readiness reviews
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) AND
+ Experience scripting using MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux, Unix, and/or other programming language
+ Systems engineering experience including using common test equipment
+ Experience creating analysis tools and automating data sets
+ Experience in troubleshooting technical issues with software or electronics systems
+ This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
+ This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Knowledge of integration, verification, or radar operation concepts
+ Experience with MATLAB, Linux Operating Systems, and Shell scripting and with integrating software with hardware/electronics
+ Experience in developing and evaluating hardware and test requirements
+ Knowledge of software, hardware, simulation, and configuration control
+ Experience with creating test procedures, test scripts, and maintaining configuration control documentation
+ Willingness to perform local and occasional non-local travel
+ Experience assisting development of verification strategies for advanced radar capabilities and software builds, including building and executing simulated scenarios to predict sensor performance

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
