You will gain direct experience on the Transaction Advisory team within the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) division. TD Securities' DCM Syndicate & Origination Team provides a wide range of fixed income capital markets products and services to supra-national, sovereign, agency, corporate and financial institutions.
The Transaction Advisory Group, which forms part of the Syndicate & Origination Team, is seeking to hire a summer intern to support the DCM capital markets business. This is a fast-paced and dynamic team who have grown rapidly in line with the Bank's overall growth strategy.
You will work on projects that expose you to real-world challenges and opportunities in these key areas of financial markets. You’ll start each day with a morning meeting to review global market movements, followed by hands-on work with your team. Throughout the internship, you’ll have opportunities to present your findings, gain feedback from senior leaders, and participate in workshops designed to strengthen your technical and professional skills.
Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for second-year or penultimate-year undergraduates from any academic background who:
Have experience and/or an interest in Financial Law and RegulationFamiliarity with legal documentation including research and drafting experience being a plus.Have strong communication skills and a growth mindset.Are team players who can collaborate in a fast-paced environment across teams and regions, delivering accurate results under pressure.Have a genuine interest in finance and the global macroeconomic environment, with a curiosity for current affairs.Bring good interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork.Have demonstrated leadership or involvement in extracurricular activities such as voluntary work, sports, music, or other personal interests outside of your degree.Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.Programming and data analytics skills (e.g. Python, R, Java, SQL, C++) are desirable but not required.Have business-level fluency in English, with additional languages (French, German, Spanish, or Italian) being a plus.Internship Overview
