As a 2025 Immersive Technology (AR/VR) Summer Associate within the Global Technology Applied Research (GTAR) division of JPMorgan Chase & Co., your professional growth and development will be supported throughout the internship program via project work related to your academic and professional interests, mentorship, interaction with senior stakeholders and more. Our areas of focus include all research areas related to understanding and implementing effective Immersive Technology solutions, including Immersive Analytics and 3D Visualization, Collaboration, Social and Collaborative Computing, HCI, HCC, Computer Graphics, Software Systems, Accessibility, Machine Learning, and Privacy & Security. Full-time employment offers may be extended upon successful completion of the program.
Job responsibilities
Advance the field of Immersive Technology and Applications, including software technology, applications, user interaction, and user experience research Provide novel research solutions to problems faced by internal project teams Work with other researchers to document your findings in scientific papers Contribute to JPMC’s IP by pursuing necessary protections of generated IPRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
1+ years of experience with one or more of the following areas: Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality (AR/VR/MR), 3D Visualization and/or Immersive Analytics, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or Human-Centered Computing (HCC), Privacy and Security, Accessibility, Machine learning, Computer Graphics, Social and Collaborative Computing, Cloud Computing and Networking, Distributed Systems. Strong system implementation and/or prototyping skills using Web technology and or game engines such as Unity Experience in scientific technical writing, as well as grant applications or research proposals Working knowledge of common research evaluation frameworks and techniques appropriate to your area Excellent analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills and demonstrated research ability Strong communication skills and the ability to present findings to a non-technical audience Enrolled in a master’s or Ph.D. degree program in math, science, engineering, computer science, human-centered computing, or related fieldsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
