As a Technology Summer Team Member, you will play a vital role working alongside one of our many Technology Teams. In this role, you’ll utilize your skillset to help develop and enhance our in-house, industry-leading technology. Our technology allows our clients to succeed with industry-first applications, tools and support. You’ll also work on a summer-long project where you’ll collaborate alongside students with backgrounds & passions in software development, databases and infrastructures, cybersecurity, project management, and more!
The Information Technology (IT) team at UWM supports the organization by managing and maintaining the technological infrastructure, developing and implementing software solutions, ensuring high levels of quality and security, and providing technical support to enhance business operations and efficiency.
Roles include: ET Infrastructure & Systems Administration, Business & Quality Analysis, Client Engineering, Communications & Technical Writing, Database Development, Information Security, Salesforce Development, Software Development, Technical Training, UX Research & Design.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Participate in host team assignments based on area of discipline.Participate in cohort project with other Summer Team Members, developing and designing team specific tasks, executing project work, and delivering progress presentations.Participate in project focused Scrum rituals (standup, refinement, planning, retrospective). WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2025 or 2026 (current junior/senior status).The ability to work Monday thru Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from the end of May to mid-August.Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent time-management skills.Ability to both thrive in a team environment and effectively work independently to complete assignments on time.Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to receive and apply feedback.Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills while being comfortable in a fast-moving environment.Ability to multitask and demonstrate adaptability and forward thinking in the face of technological or organizational change.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate complex technical issues and solutions in a clear, simple, and understandable way.Nice to have:
