In addition, the internship program allows students to grow both professionally and personally through interactions with research and business professionals in support of projects aligned with department initiatives. Students will learn and work under a practicing professional who will provide guidance and mentorship.

Global Market Access

Summary:

Market Access engagement in early pipeline development is a key element driving future commercial success. This early engagement can help identify potential payer-relevant value drivers and access barriers, and may as a result influence clinical development and other evidence generation. 

The prospective intern will conduct a thorough assessment of the current access and pricing landscape, HTA assessments, and payer value drivers in a specific neurology disease state to inform potential first-in-human (FIH) clinical development plans. Through the project, the student will gain a robust understanding of payer-relevant value drivers and areas of risk, in the process gaining experience in early pipeline development, orphan drug development, payer landscape assessment, and primary and secondary market research.

Requirements: 

MUST be currently enrolled in a U.S. Graduate Degree Program (MBA or equivalent) and not graduating prior to the completion of the Ionis internship  MUST be able to begin internship between 6/9 and 6/16/2025 MUST be able and willing to remain in the program through at least 8/15/2025 MUST be able and willing to commit to a minimum 40-hour workweek

The pay scale for this position is $18 to $23 per hour.
