Senior Retail Vendor Manager (VM): Amazon is looking for a passionate candidate with the proven ability to build strategic, long term business relationships within the Amazon Stores organization. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reacting to industry trends, within a determined Amazon Stores retail business, and own the top and bottom lines of the P&L. They will develop selection and categories, deliver innovative growth solutions and work with internal teams to deliver the best customer experience. The candidate must be a thoughtful, high-energy, self-starter, with strong business acumen, acute analytical skills, and the ability to work with teams internally and externally. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. The candidate will work with vendors of all sizes – and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at all levels of these organizations. They will need to be able to work across multiple internal teams, at high levels of leadership, to address customer experience issues within the category. The candidate must also possess strong analytical acumen and be comfortable drawing metric-based conclusions while applying a customer centered lens to decisions.

Key job responsibilities
- Creates long-term category strategies that drive topline growth
- Partner closely with operations, supply chain, marketing, advertising, finance, and product management to drive the business
- Develops and implements action plans based on deep-dive analysis of input metrics
- Drives customer and business opportunities to deliver long-term strategy for multiple sub-categories
- Owns the relationship with strategic vendors, including negotiations to deliver top- and bottom-line category growth
- Owns the Retail P&L for multiple categories; develops plans that drive revenue and margin improvement for the business
- Dives deep into inputs and understands the downstream impact of changes to pricing, selection, and convenience for multiple categories
- Identifies areas that need vendor attention and directs team to address issues; acts as escalation point, helping team and vendor(s) resolve conflicts

About the team
- Most roles for this position will be located at Amazon’s company headquarters in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA. Successful applicants will be expected to relocate to their team location upon starting at Amazon.
