Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Systems/Engineer Systems to join our Model Based Engineering Tools team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Engineering department. This position is located in Melbourne, Florida. This position can be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
The MBE Tools Engineer leverages prior engineering design/analysis experience to support Model-based Analysis (MBA), Model-based Design (MBD), Model-based Manufacturing (MBM), and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives related to engineering tools development. The candidate works independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of Engineering Tools and exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of the assignment.

Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institutionBe majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree.Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higherPrevious internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular). Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).Experience working in an aerospace design environment. Emphasis placed in the following disciplines: Structural Design/Analysis, Subsystems Design/Analysis, Electrical/Mechanical Routing, or Mechanism Design/Analysis.Experience working with Teamcenter and NX (or equivalent PDM/PLM and CAD/CAE applications). Experience developing code for utilities.Communicates effectively and clearly presents technical approaches and recommendations.Experience with CAMEO & RhapsodyPay Range
