Analytical Sciences Graduate Intern Overview

We are champions of product innovation and process knowledge to solve AbbVie's most complex technical challenges to successfully support late-phase products, commercialize our pipeline, ensure the quality and efficacy of our products, make a direct impact on patient health and well-being.
During a summer in PDS&T – Analytical Sciences, the intern would own a focused technical project to support analytical method development and facilitate new technologies development. We are looking for a candidate to support our Lab of the Future initiative by exploring rapid spectroscopy (transmission Raman [TRS] and/or near-infrared [NIR]) for multi-attribute testing and evaluating the potential of an automated solid dosing system. The candidate will be exposed to rapid spectroscopy and chemometric modeling.

Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other related field of studyMust be enrolled in university for at least one semester following the internshipPreferred Qualifications
Expected graduation date between December 2025 – August 2026Previous research/lab experience in analytical chemistry (including spectroscopy), modeling (including chemometrics), and data analysis softwareExcellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
