Department Overview

The Operations Documentation and Education Team (ODET) supports the training and documentation needs of Operations in a coordinated and consistent manner. ODET also supports communication and Service 1st initiatives for Raymond James Operations departments.

Our primary focus is partnering with the Operations departments to evaluate training, documentation, communication, and customer service needs. We are committed to providing excellent service by maintaining open communication and dialogue with our clients.

Our clients consist of all internal departments that fall under the Raymond James Operations umbrella.

Summer Associate Job Summary

The Operations Communication Seasonal Associate will assist in managing internal communication duties for the summer. This role involves creating and distributing internal newsletters, managing the company intranet, and supporting internal events. The intern will contribute to the success of the team by ensuring timely and effective communication across the organization, thereby enhancing employee engagement and information flow.

Under general supervision, the seasonal associate uses knowledge and skills obtained through formal education and/or experience to work on specific projects within an assigned functional area. The seasonal associate follows established procedures to perform tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and varied complexity. Some judgment is required to adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to apply to more complex assignments. Routine contact with internal and external customers may be required to exchange basic information.

This is a temporary role.

Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need.

Start Date: 6/2/25

End Date: 8/8/25

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in the creation and distribution of internal newsletters and announcements.Manage and update content on the company intranet.Support the planning and execution of internal events and meetings.Collaborate with various departments to gather and disseminate information.Monitor and respond to internal communication channels.Works independently on assigned projects and tasks, meeting all delivery deadlines.Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
