Over the course of 10-12 weeks, as a Human Resources Intern, you'll work in our processing plant located in Carthage, MO. You will work with the local plant and our live operations teams to learn not only the day-to-day operations of HR, but also get exposure to working with a collective bargaining unit through labor relations.  

\n

The program’s primary objective is to grow future leaders by providing professional development and a series of assignments that aligns with professional interest within the processing and manufacturing industry.

What you’ll do:

\n\nProjects – Develop an input form and a process flow for employee and union complaints and grievances.\nLabor Relations – Hands on experience of investigating a grievance, from data collection to what article the infraction applies to, and company position.\nCommunity Engagement – Exposure to the importance of community outreach is and building/fostering relationships in the community our employees live in and their children are growing up in.\nResponsibilities – overall responsibilities will include the related project, building relationships with key stakeholders, data tracking and analysis and learning to influence others.

\n\nPursuing a Bachelors, Master or PhD in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Communications, Labor Relations or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2025 through June 2026\nAll participants in this program are required to have a valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation to and from work.\nExperience in Excel is required\nExperience in with Teams, PowerPoint, Forms, Word and HRIS systems is preferred \nHigh level of confidentiality is required\nAbility to communicate effectively and influence the decisions of leadership\nWillingness to work at a poultry processing facility which would include time spent in cold environments and potential for loud noise.\n\n
