Summary
At Genentech Research & Early Development (gRED) we have initiated an exciting journey to bring together and further strengthen our computational talent and capabilities by forming a new, central organization - gRED Computational Sciences (gCS). gCS is on a mission to partner across the organization to realize the potential of data, technology and computational approaches that will revolutionize how targets and therapeutics are discovered and developed, ultimately enabling novel treatments for patients across the world. We stand at the beginning of this exciting journey.
The Infrastructure and Architecture group within gRED Computational Sciences (gCS) is seeking a graduate intern passionate about machine learning, generative AI, and NLP to help design and deliver a minimum viable product (MVP) that leverages AI to transform resource and space management for the gRED Research Operations team.
As an intern, you will work closely with the gRED Research Operations team, including resource and space management leaders, to tailor AI solutions that enhance decision-making and productivity. You will also collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the MVP aligns with business goals and drives meaningful outcomes.
This MVP will integrate AI-driven insights into an existing workforce and space management tool to:
Provide data-driven recommendations for resource allocation and space planning.
Offer predictive analytics to forecast future needs.
Improve operational efficiency by delivering personalized, actionable insights through an intuitive interface.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a project at the intersection of AI and operations, focusing on resource optimization and space planning for Genentech’s Research group. Your work will directly support gRED Research Operations by enhancing their ability to make informed, data-driven decisions. If you’re excited about applying AI to solve real-world business challenges and driving operational excellence, we’d love to hear from you!
The internship position is located on-site at our South San Francisco, CA, campus.
